A little while ago, a Toronto Star article came to my attention that made me sad for “the state of modern society” and reminded me of those days way-back-when when a girlfriend and I practiced to make our writing look fobby. (She succeeded whereas I didn’t. She moved to HK and I didn’t. Coincidence?)
After reading that article, I set about trying to write the entire alphabet as I was taught in grade 4. Since then, I’ve subtly abandoned the half-cursive-half-printing that looks decidedly un-fob in favour of a personal twist on the school-taught cursive script.
For all that I can be very web-by and somewhat adept at computers, there are equal parts inflexibly classic, Luddite, and/or late-adopter.
On this day..
