Life has been crazyyy! And by life, I do mean work. In the past two weeks, I can’t remember how many times I stayed really late at work, and not without some company. We took on a lot after we got our grant out the door in September and naively thought it would be a “quiet” fall, but I’m really proud of my department, for all we can take on, the services we provide, and our capacity.
I started a craft “project” about a month ago after seeing an Etsy project a couple months before that. When it comes to a craft project involving felt, I always think to myself, “I can reproduce that!” Felt, to me, seems forgiving and it’s a really cheap material.
Of course, without a sewing machine, my stitches are way crooked, it took all of a Sunday evening, and NPY remarked (and I agree) that many a customs officer will not be amused by my girly passport holder, but it makes it all the more mine. :)

Thanks! We just recently went to China and crossed so many borders, requiring passport-toting and it was a handy way to carry both passports with arrival/departure cards tucked inside in the two pockets. But I’d remove the passports from the sleeve before getting to the customs officer’s desk.
