His:
It’s really nice to see more Caffe Artigianos popping up around the city since discovering a couple of years ago that the Spanish Latte offered is made with delectable steamed condensed milk. Two locations opened relatively close together in my (old) Cambie neighbourhood, in the London Drugs at Broadway and Cambie and one three blocks away past Willow!
Hers:
It’s my Buy Nothing, Go Nowhere day so here’s an oldie: I went head over heels for the Tim Hortons commercials announcing their new bagels trying first the cinnamon maple French toast flavour then the sundried tomato Asiago Parmesan bagel. Neither Lil Sis nor I could taste “French toast” and it was just a cinnamon maple bagel with caramelized cinnamon sugar adding some crispiness. The savoury sundried tomato bagel was much better with tomato flavour throughout the bagel. I’ll always like the salty option more.
The cashier gave me a little bit of an unprofessional funny face when I also ordered the sundried tomato soup. I don’t think serving staff should judge for I think it matched quite well!
