NPY’s PotD*: Day Forty-Five

His:

peaceful restaurant shandong noodle
NPY went to Peaceful, the original location that was recently featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners Vancouver. I’ve tried everything Mr. Fieri tried but my favorites have been refined to two others: the Shandong noodles which is a great “stew” over handmade noodles, and their fresh, Northern Chinese-style potato rolls!

Hers:

detroit marathon route

I’m in Michigan for the weekend? Why not visited the 18th largest U.S. city that is just 4 hours’ drive away? We’re also visiting a former colleague of mine who moved to A2 (Ann Arbor).

While Detroit was eerily quiet on a Saturday afternoon, we made our own fun spending a lot of time in Ren Cen, and chasing down where all the marathoners were (i.e., the runner’s expo). Why have I not heard of the Detroit Free Press Marathon before?? The runners run to Canada via Ambassador Bridge and back to the U.S. via tunnel (or vice versa). The expo and the route sold me, but it looks sold out… haha.

* NPY’s Picture of the Day. While I’m in Toronto and he is in Vancouver, 3400km away, we will try to share with each other (and consequently this blog) pictures that capture our day.
