I don’t think I’ve even been so busy over Thanksgiving as NPY who had two turkey dinners. The second one was at home with family.

Gotta love technology. Between turkey dinners, NPY went out for “Thanksgiving drinks” at Joey’s on Broadway and by Skyping for a few minutes, I got to see the whole gang… and wave hi!

We all need some purpose to our lives. Lil Sis and mine is to find the best congee joint in the city. We’ve been to the Congee Time in North York and I was underwhelmed and discouraged. Recently, we went to Congee Queen in Markham which I thought is really promising for taking top honours. The restaurant and its offerings tend towards more modern. Granted, we ordered a fairly fancy and very flavourful congee with finely chopped dried oyster, dehydrated vegetable, and lean pork. I love how Lil Sis isn’t all health-nut when we go out to eat and we’ll order fried dough sticks each time to dip into our congee!
