He says, “Scorecard for today. Not bad for not playing a full course in over a year without any practice.”
After about 40 hours in Michigan, we headed back home. The border crossings were the least fun from being stuck in the under-water tunnel between Detroit and Windsor to the overly curious border guard going into Detroit. Going into Washington, I am asked 100% of the time about having fruits and meat; not so this time. He asked everything from what we do for a living to who we were visiting, where my colleague is from, and even if he’s my boyfriend. Quick and violent, “No!” Academics have complicated stories and I would have been kicked out of the country if I had to go into it, haha.
We really liked Ann Arbor and would go back again. The spirit and support for University of Michigan Wolverines was throughout Detroit and everywhere you turned in Ann Arbor. We were roundly convinced and spent a fun half hour in The M Den picking up logo apparel!
* NPY’s Picture of the Day. While I’m in Toronto and he is in Vancouver, 3400km away, we will try to share with each other (and consequently this blog) pictures that capture our day.
On this day..
