Has it only been 77 days? Wild. It’s both been a long time and not that long at all.
When I got back from New York, I was really scared to get on a scale! Lil Sis, who swore she would work out every day I was away, did not hit the gym at all and was scared, too. The solution? Since we are both trying to lose weight, we’d measure our progress as a combined unit and we’d literally try to lose weight together. For a few minutes, it was hilarious as we tried to step onto the scale together, leaning into each other, and toppling over before our combined weight could be determined. Until she suggested I piggy-back her and step on the scale. Our combined weight was 251 lbs. and we’re down 3 lbs. due to one or both of our efforts.
Sometimes Lil Sis and I go overboard. Case in point: we didn’t know we had ordered too much at Me Va Me on Friday and then we were out again on Saturday where we picked up a pre-dinner snack at Ikea and then had most satisfying Korean pork bone soup later. We totally make up for it during weekdays with most boring, sparse, and carb-free meals that sometimes leave me whining for more!
******** This is a blog series complementing my regular blog posts with the original idea was to share our parallel lives, NPY’s and mine, while I’m in Toronto and he’s in Vancouver, 3,400 km away. For me, it’s been pretty fun because I’m this long-time blogger and enjoy repackaging parts of my life in “blog bites”. It’s been more difficult for NPY who hasn’t experienced a change in scenery (although I do not think it is necessary) so I’ll be continuing this with just my photos. I might have something every day. I might not.
